Amy Kaiser, L.Ac., M.ac.O.M., Dipl.Ac. (NCCAOM)
Amy is an Acupuncturist licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. A graduate of Northwestern Health Sciences University with her Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine, her training includes over 3,000 hours of clinical instruction in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. She is a National Board Certified Diplomat in Acupuncture (NCCAOM). Additionally, she is certified in Advanced Constitutional Facial Rejuvenation.
While at Northwestern, Amy's internships included a variety of clinics including The Courage Centers' Inpatient Rehabilitation Center in Golden Valley, MN; Woodwinds Health East Hospital in Woodbury, MN; and Edith Davis Teaching Clinic in Bloomington, MN.
At the Courage Center, she mainly worked with neurological/spinal cord injuries, cerebral vascular accidents (strokes) and cerebral palsy. At Woodwinds, she focused in the orthopedic department assisting patients with post-surgical pain management and also in maternal care. At the University's Edith Davis Clinic, she enjoyed treating men, women and children with a wide variety of health concerns, including gynecological issues such as premenstrual syndrome, infertility, and menopause, extreme anxiety and depression, sleep and digestive disorders, addictions, and weight loss to name a few.
She also gained extensive experience successfully treating both acute and chronic pain, including chronic migraines and fibromyalgia.
In the Spring of 2009, Amy took advantage of the opportunity to do an in-depth study of Eastern medicine from its origination: China. She undertook an intensive advanced study at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine where she spent time absorbing the work of world-renowned TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Masters. This experience gave her the motivation and inspiration to return home and open a clinic where she could treat, educate, and encourage her patients to live well-rounded, healthy lives.
Amy’s goal is to work with you to eliminate or alleviate your ailments by treating the underlying cause, thus improving your quality of life.
Amy says, "I am hooked on Acupuncture both as a practitioner and a patient. I am amazed at what Chinese medicine has done for my own health, and am reminded again and again with every patient who walks out my door feeling relieved of his or her ailment, many whom have not felt relief in years."
